Your participation in the New York Association of Public Employee Retirement Systems (NYPERS) helps share in the power in numbers when dealing with issues and trends that affect the industry. As an active member, the education and training NYPERS provides can expand your knowledge and effectiveness as a voice on your respective funds.

The level of memberships are as follows:
Member Systems All Member Systems shall be classified according to a governmental group type. Governmental Group Members shall consist of the following:
Association or Employee Group Member Membership may be granted to any organized body by the Board if such organized body’s objectives are consistent with the purposes of NYPERS. Association or Employee Group Members. Determination of eligibility for membership is vested solely in the Board whose decision is final. Association or Employee Group Members shall be classified as:
Associate Member Membership may be granted to any organized body by the Board if such organized body’s objectives are consistent with the purposes of NYPERS. Associate Members shall not hold any positions on the Board. Determination of eligibility for membership is vested solely in the Board, whose decision is final. Investment Consultant or Actuary Member Membership may be granted to any firm, or part thereof, whose primary business is investment consulting or actuarial services to pension funds or other similar institutional investors. Consultant or Actuary Members shall not hold any position on the Board. Determination of eligibility for membership is vested solely in the Board, whose decision is final. Dues for Consultant or Actuary Members shall be fixed at $1,750.00 which includes one (1) membership. |
